Motor Trade Association (Mta) is seeking a skilled Automotive Electrician in Auckland to install, maintain and repair electrical systems across residential, commercial and industrial projects.

You will read electrical drawings, diagnose faults, perform testing and ensure compliance with New Zealand electrical standards and safety requirements, with the potential for professional development.

Responsabilidades

• Install, maintain, repair and replace electrical wiring, switchboards, circuits and electrical equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications and technical plans.
• Identify electrical faults and carry out necessary repairs and maintenance.
• Install and connect electrical appliances, lighting systems, power outlets, switches and control systems.
• Inspect and test electrical installations to identify faults and ensure safe operation.
• Use electrical testing equipment to diagnose and resolve electrical issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
• Install electrical conduits, cables, fittings and associated components.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with NZ electrical standards, regulations and WHS requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work, inspections and maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with supervisors, contractors and other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently.
• Ensure tools, equipment and work areas are maintained in a safe and organised condition.
• Perform other electrical duties as reasonably required by the employer.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled, reliable and motivated Electrician to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing and testing electrical systems and equipment across residential, commercial and industrial projects.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Install, maintain, repair and replace electrical wiring, switchboards, circuits and electrical equipment.

Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications and technical plans.

Identify electrical faults and carry out necessary repairs and maintenance.

Install and connect electrical appliances, lighting systems, power outlets, switches and control systems.
