Job summary

GPC Asia Pacific is seeking an experienced Distribution Centre Manager to lead our Auckland DC. You will drive safe, efficient and customer-focused warehouse operations, lead a high-performing team and partner with transport teams to achieve service, quality and financial targets.

You will champion safety, develop leaders, and create a positive culture while delivering practical improvements across inventory, processes and cost management. This role is based on-site in Auckland.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in managing a distribution centre or warehouse.
• Ability to lead teams and deliver results across safety, service, productivity, KPI, and financial targets.
• Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety practices and building a safe workplace.
• Experience in inventory management, warehouse systems, labour planning and volume forecasting.
• Continuous-improvement mindset with ability to implement practical solutions.
• Strong commercial awareness and balance of customer, operational and cost requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operation of the Distribution Centre to meet safety and efficiency targets.
• Champion a proactive health and safety culture and ensure compliance with policies.
• Develop and coach the DC leadership team and staff to build capability.
• Monitor and improve performance across safety, service, cost, quality and productivity.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and customer service.
• Oversee labour planning, forecasting and resource allocation.
• Maintain accurate inventory control and safeguard stock and assets.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and transport partners to maximise outcomes.
• Lead safety meetings and address risks and hazards.
