Job summary

Otis Elevator Co. in Auckland, New Zealand seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support the Construction business nationwide. Based in Auckland, you will partner with Project Managers to enhance delivery, scheduling, and risk management while helping reduce close-out delays.

You’ll administer supplier/compliance systems, manage contracts and POs, and coordinate with engineering, supply chain, and service teams to drive successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Building or Engineering and/or Electrical/Mechanical Trade Certificate preferred.
• Business or Commerce degree preferred.
• 2–3 years experience in lift/escalator project management is an advantage.
• Excellent English communication, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Administer Boost and Avetta apps to ensure contractor/site compliance.
• Prepare, issue, and manage contracts, quotations, PRs and POs.
• Monitor open/aged POs in JDE and follow up for timely closure.
• Process non-PO invoices and coordinate shipping/logistics tracking.
• Review storage costs and freight invoices; act as procurement gatekeeper.
• Verify timesheets, including overtime and cost coding, before PM approval.
• Ensure quality docs are completed and defects closed to enable NIS.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Sales and Service teams for delivery.
