Job summary

Postie Plus is seeking an analytical Assistant Planner to join our Merchandise Planning team in central Auckland. In this role you'll work with a Planner and Buying team to forecast, plan and analyse stock, price and timing to meet customer needs.

You'll provide reporting and insights to support purchasing decisions, stock management and trading performance, collaborating with Buying, Retail, Distribution and eCommerce teams to deliver great outcomes for customers.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail planning, merchandising, allocation or inventory management.
• Strong Excel skills and a good understanding of sales, stock and inventory.
• Enjoy working with data to identify trends and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Support sales, stock, margin and purchase planning across key product categories, including forecasting, budgeting and Open to Buy (OTB) management.
• Monitor inventory performance, identifying risks and opportunities to optimise stock levels across stores and online.
• Support stock allocations, replenishment and stock flow to maximise sales and minimise markdowns.
• Build and maintain assortment plans, line plans, purchase orders and product data with a strong focus on accuracy.
• Deliver reporting, analysis and insights to support trading decisions and future planning.
• Support promotional, pricing, markdown and clearance strategies to maximise sales, margin and sell-through.

We're looking for an analytical and detail-oriented Assistant Planner to join our Merchandise Planning team.

In this role, you'll work closely with a Planner and Buying team to ensure we're delivering the right products to our customers at the right price and at the right time. Through forecasting, planning and analysis, you'll support sales growth, maximise margin and optimise stock performance across our stores and online.

You'll provide reporting and insights that support purchasing decisions, stock management and trading performance, while working closely with Buying, Retail, Distribution and eCommerce teams to deliver great outcomes for our customers.
