Job summary

Pascoes is seeking an experienced retail leader to join our Auckland team as Assistant Manager. You will work closely with the Store Manager to support daily operations, coach the team, drive sales and deliver exceptional customer service in a high-standards jewellery retail environment.

You will lead shifts, assist with stock, merchandising and reporting, and help achieve KPIs. Jewellery knowledge is welcomed but training will be provided, with staff discounts and ongoing career development

Qualifications

• Experience in retail leadership or management.
• Ability to motivate and bring out the best in others.
• Strong sales and customer service skills.
• Confidence managing stock, merchandising and daily store operations.
• Initiative, reliability and a hands-on approach.
• Excellent communication skills and an approachable personality.

As our Assistant Manager, you will work closely with the Store Manager and play a hands-on role in the day-to-day running of the store. From supporting and training the team to driving sales and delivering exceptional customer service, you will help create a store environment where both customers and people thrive.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting, motivating and developing the store team
• Helping the store achieve its sales targets and KPIs
• Delivering warm, knowledgeable and memorable customer service
• Managing merchandising and maintaining high presentation standards
• Supporting stock management, cash handling and reporting
• Stepping up to lead the store when the Store Manager is away

We are looking for someone who brings:

• Previous retail leadership or management experience
• A proven ability to motivate and bring out the best in others
• Strong sales and customer service skills
• Confidence managing stock, merchandising and daily store operations
• Initiative, reliability and a hands-on approach
• Exceptional communication skills and an approachable personality

Jewellery experience would be an advantage, but it is not essential—we will provide the product training you need.
