Job summary

Woolworths Group in Auckland, NZ is seeking an Assistant Category Manager for Pantry on an 8-month secondment, to support the Category Manager with plans and promotions.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, negotiate with suppliers, and drive sales and ROI while maintaining excellent organisation and communication.

What you’ll do | Hei mahi

Assist the Category Manager in executing category plans that are better for customers, simpler for stores and deliver against financial and non-financial targets. The primary role of an ACM is to run an effective promotional program that delivers against sales, profit and market share targets.

Optimising the promotional program through the frequency, depth, funding and phasing of promotions whilst ensuring we are providing market leading value for our customers

Utilise data and insights to ensure our promotional offers are customer led and deliver a ROI

Leveraging sales driving tactics for key customer offers (brochure, sales planning, event space etc.)

Negotiating with Suppliers on promotional investment and executions (aligning to KPI’s).

Collaboration with other team members and stakeholders e.g. Category Manager & Assistant, Marketing, Online, Replenishment, Promotions etc. to implement promotional activity effectively

Previous Assistant Category Manager experience preferred
