Job summary

Contact Energy is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to translate business needs into effective sourcing strategies and supplier arrangements. You’ll work across the sourcing lifecycle, including market understanding, category strategies, tendering, negotiation and contract execution.

You’ll build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure procurement solutions are practical, fit for purpose and deliver value.

Qualifications

• Five or more years in procurement, category management or related commercial roles.
• Strong capability in strategic sourcing, negotiation and supplier management.
• Relevant qualification in business, law, supply chain or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop commercially sound sourcing strategies and supplier arrangements across categories.
• Lead tendering, negotiation and contract execution with suppliers.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver value.
• Analyse spend, supplier performance and risk; drive standardisation and process improvements.
