Job summary

Fulton Hogan in Auckland is seeking an Asphalt Plant Supervisor to lead day-to-day plant operations, coordinate production and maintenance, and ensure quality asphalt is produced to specification for our road projects.

This hands-on leadership role focuses on safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement, with responsibility for planning, staff coordination and ensuring on-time delivery for crews across the region.

Qualifications

Experience in asphalt production or plant operations.
Understanding of budgets and financial factors.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel).
Strong leadership and team coordination abilities.
Focus on safety, quality and operational compliance.
Good planning and problem-solving skills.
Proactive and accountable approach.

Responsibilities

Lead the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the asphalt plant.
Coordinate production schedules, plant staff and material supply to meet project demand.
Oversee plant maintenance and minimise downtime.
Monitor asphalt quality and compliance standards to specification.
Drive continuous improvement across plant performance, safety, housekeeping and cost control.
