Higgins is seeking a Plant Operator in Auckland to join our Silverdale asphalt batch plant. You will be part of a small, close-knit team responsible for manufacturing and supplying asphalt mix to internal and external customers.

We offer a permanent full-time role with a rotating day/night shift roster, KiwiSaver matching up to 4%, fuel discounts, and opportunities to upskill. You’ll need to pass pre-employment checks and be fit for work.

Qualifikationen

• 2+ years experience operating asphalt batch plants.
• Troubleshooting and basic mechanical maintenance experience.
• Strong understanding of materials, tools, and methods in asphalt production.
• Flexibility to work day and night shifts on a rotating roster.
• Class 1 licence (WTR) or overseas essential; Class 2 preferred.
• Familiarity with handling bitumen; DF endorsements beneficial.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Commitment to health and safety.

The Higgins team in Auckland is seeking a Plant Operator to join our Silverdale asphalt batch plant. You’ll be part of a small, close-knit team responsible for manufacturing and supplying asphalt mix to both internal and external customers.

What you'll bring

• 2 + years experience operating asphalt batch plants, including troubleshooting and basic mechanical maintenance
• Strong understanding of materials, tools, and methods used in asphalt production
• Flexibility to work day and night shifts on a rotating roster
• Class 1 licence (WTR) or overseas essential
• Class 2 preferred – we’ll support you to gain this
• Familiarity with handling bitumen; D & F endorsements beneficial
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills
• Proven commitment to health and safety
• Competitive hourly rate between $31-40
• Permanent full time role between 40-55 hours
• KiwiSaver employer contribution matched up to 4%
