Job summary

Mercury is seeking an Architecture Practice Lead in New Zealand to lead and grow our Enterprise Solution Architecture team. You will shape architecture practices, set standards, and drive collaboration across business units to deliver sustainable technology outcomes.

You’ll coach architects, build and scale the architecture community of practice, and influence business partners to engage earlier in delivery. This role offers a path to senior architecture leadership within Mercury.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in a technology domain, preferably architecture or software engineering.
• Extensive architecture experience in senior roles across multiple business domains.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor and grow architects or senior engineers.
• TOGAF 9/10 Practitioner certification (or Open CA) and ArchiMate familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop and recruit for the architecture team, coaching them and building strong routines.
• Grow the architecture practice with standards, patterns, tools and processes to lift quality.
• Champion Mercury’s Architecture Community of Practice with regular knowledge-sharing forums.
• Support architects and teams on complex problems and connect them with the right people.
• Contribute to architecture governance and assurance with the Enterprise Architecture function.
• Build relationships across Technology and the business to lift architecture thinking.
• Work with technology and delivery leads to help deliver great outcomes.
