Job summary

Cromwell Architectural Envelopes Limited is seeking an experienced Welder Engineer Fabricator for permanent full-time work in our sheetmetal workshop and on-site in the Queenstown Lakes District, Otago. You will weld and fabricate using mild steel, aluminium and sheetmetal, reading drawings to meet high-end architectural specs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years demonstrable welding and engineering experience.
• Tertiary qualification in welding or engineering preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings.
• Work unsupervised, motivated and self-dependent.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Weld and fabricate steel, aluminium, and sheetmetal from drawings.
• Handle, cut, and assemble various metals for roofing and cladding.
• Collaborate with the team to meet deadlines and maintain workflow.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly workspace.
