Job summary

Balmacewen Intermediate is seeking a permanent Welder Engineer Fabricator for its roofing and cladding projects. You will weld and fabricate metal components in a sheetmetal workshop and on-site in the Queenstown Lakes District, Otago.

The role offers a guaranteed 30-40 hours per week with competitive hourly pay. Ideal candidates have at least 3 years welding/engineering experience, with a tertiary qualification preferred, and the ability to read drawings and work both in a team and

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years demonstrable welding and engineering experience.
• Tertiary qualification in welding or engineering preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously.
• Excellent knowledge of reading and interpreting drawings.

Responsibilities

• Welding & fabricating a variety of steel and aluminium products from drawings.
• Handling, cutting, and assembling steel, aluminium and sheetmetal for roofing & cladding.
• Experience in aluminium joinery fabrication preferred.
• Work as part of a team to ensure quality and meet deadlines.
