Job summary

Cromwell Architectural Envelopes Limited is seeking a Welder Engineer Fabricator to deliver high-end welding and manufacturing projects in our sheetmetal workshop and on site in the Queenstown Lakes District, Otago. You will join a team focused on architectural roofing and cladding with a strong emphasis on quality and safety.

Role includes welding, fabrication and interpretation of drawings, with on-site work and a potential career growth path.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years demonstrable experience in welding and engineering.
• A tertiary qualification in welding or engineering would be preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously.
• Excellent knowledge of reading and interpreting drawings.

Responsibilities

• Welding & fabricating a variety of steel products using mild metal, aluminium and sheetmetal from drawings.
• Handling, cutting, and assembling steel, aluminium, copper, brass and other roofing & cladding materials.
• Experience in aluminium joinery fabrication, ideally with a relevant trade qualification.
• An integral part of the larger team producing quality work and ensuring good workflow to meet deadlines.
