Job summary

Arbortree is seeking an experienced Arborist to join our Waikato team in Hamilton. This full-time role involves climbing and ground duties, with a 7:30am–4:30pm, Monday–Friday schedule and an hourly rate of $30–$40.

You must hold at least Level 3 NZQA Arboriculture and have 2+ years of climbing experience, plus a Class 1 licence. Benefits include training, safety meetings, and a range of perks based on skills and experience.

Arbortree is a professional arboricultural firm, delivering skilled tree management services that meet the needs of both the client and their trees. We are currently looking for an experienced Arborist to join our team.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to hold a Level 3 NZQA Arboriculture (minimum) and have a minimum of 2 years' climbing experience.

You will also need to demonstrate / hold

• Class 1 Drivers Licence (Restricted or higher)
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
• A good level of physical fitness
• The ability to work in a team environment
• Passion for quality, safety, and bringing out the best in every tree
• Experience and proficiency in both climbing and ground duties
• High standards of professionalism

The following would be highly regarded

• Level 3 NZQA Arboriculture or higher
• Level 3 Utility Arboriculture
• Class 2 Drivers Licence

An hourly rate of $30 - $40 per hour will be offered to the successful candidate.

This is a permanent and full-time position working generally Monday to Friday with guaranteed 40 hours per week. You may be required to work hours outside of this.

Pre-employment drug testing will be required as a condition of employment.

To be eligible for this position you must currently be living in NZ and have a legal right to work in this country (i.e. NZ Citizenship, be a permanent resident, or hold full working rights).
