Job summary

Vista is seeking an intermediate Business Analyst to join the Integration Platform team in Auckland. You will define how customers and partners integrate with Vista systems through APIs, translating data requirements into clear, scalable specifications.

Collaborate with product, engineering and architecture to gather requirements, write user stories and acceptance criteria, and document data mappings. Ensure security, performance and other non-functional needs are baked into designs and promote

Qualifications

• Proven experience gathering and documenting requirements relating to software delivery APIs and integrations.
• Strong analytical thinking; break problems into structured solutions.
• Confident communicator who can engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with product, engineering, and architecture.

Responsibilities

• Support discovery, scoping and requirements for integration and API-driven initiatives.
• Clarify integration use cases and data requirements with product and engineering.
• Define API requirements, data mappings and user stories.
• Analyse data to ensure it is exposed clearly via APIs.
• Define integration flows between Vista systems and external platforms.
• Capture non-functional requirements such as security and performance.
• Facilitate workshops with stakeholders for alignment and clarity.
• Produce artefacts including user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows and documentation.
