Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 4 years of experience as a Machinist is required.
• Must be innovative and creative in adapting materials and parts to meet varied needs.
• Must be proficient in layout and design of prototypes.

Responsibilities

• Operate a full range of machine shop equipment including lathes, milling machines and saws.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on machine shop equipment.
• Perform alignment procedures on machines.
• Fabricate, modify, or repair equipment used for scientific research projects.
• Support vehicle and construction equipment repair as needed.
• Comply with safety, environmental and quality requirements and maintain documentation.
