Job summary

Amentum is seeking a skilled Vehicle Maintenance Technician to initiate and manage equipment services, maintaining customer rapport and accurate Maximo records. You will generate and track work orders, describe issues, and coordinate with shop leadership to prioritize tasks for efficient repairs.

You will communicate status, perform inspections, and ensure safe operations while supporting possible deployments to Antarctica. Strong Excel/Office skills and Maximo experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum four (4) years' experience in a vehicle maintenance shop/facility.
• Experience with Maximo preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ascertains mechanical problems from customer descriptions; conducts inspections and tests; maintains service records.
• Answers calls, assists walk-ins, and monitors Maximo/Outlook for repair requests.
• Generates Maximo work orders and assigns labor; attaches job plans and materials.
• Prepares Work Orders describing symptoms, problems and required repairs; obtains signatures.
• Coordinates with Shop Foreman and Supervisor on priorities and assignments.
• Maintains customer rapport; communicates ETAs and status.
• Updates Maximo asset records; ensures data accuracy and reports progress.
• May train operators of light vehicles and assist with MAXIMO controls.
