Extrastaff, a LabourHire Company, is hiring full-time Construction Specialists. You will be motivated and able to work across projects nationwide, reading drawings and constructing frames, installing doors/windows, and finishing structures. Roles are permanent with site duties based on project demand.

Applicants should have 2 years in construction or an appropriate Level 4 qualification, a NZ driver license, and a strong commitment to safety. Residency or valid NZ work visa is required.

Qualifications

• 2-year experience in construction or Level 4 qualification required.
• NZ Driver license or overseas equivalent required.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety procedures.

Responsabilités

• Read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Construct, install and repair framework, cladding, and finishing work.
• Install doors, windows, insulation, linings and finishing elements.
• Erect/dismantle scaffolding and access equipment per safety standards.
• Load/unload materials, travel across sites nationwide on project demand.

You will be motivated and result driven.Positions are full-time and permanent, with site location based on project demand.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Construct, install and repairframework and structures, formwork, framing, cladding and finishing work, including foundation, walls, floors, roofs and ceilings
• Cut materials, assemble andInstall doors, windows, cladding, insulation, linings, and finishing elements
• Construct concrete formwork, createmetal and woodstructures forms or chutesby using fasteners, rod bending machines or hand tools,and assist inpouring concrete if required
• Erectand dismantlescaffoldingand access equipment for assembling structures above ground level, in accordance with safety standards
• Cover subfloors with building paper to keep out moisture and lay hardwood, parquet, or wood strip block floors by nailing floors to subfloor or cementing them to mastic or asphalt base
• Repair and maintainexisting fittings
• Loading and unloading building and construction materials, tools and equipment and transporting them around sites
• Work on rotating project sites across the country
• Carry out any other reasonable duties as directed by the employer to support project and business objectives.

Skills and Experience Required

• 2-year experience in the construction industry or Level 4 relevant qualification
• NZ Driver license or overseas equivalent is required
• Able to work independently and adapt to new environments
• Experience working on commercial, infrastructure, or civil construction projects preferred.
• Sound knowledge of H&S procedures
• Understanding of and commitment to workplace health, safety, and quality standards.
