Extrastaff, aLabourHire Company, is hiring full-time Construction Specialists across New Zealand. Roles are permanent with site locations varying by project, offering paid PPE and tools and ongoing opportunities on major infrastructure and commercial projects.

Eligible applicants should have 2 years in construction or a Level 4 qualification, a valid NZ driver license, and be willing to travel or relocate within the country. Safety and quality are priorities.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in construction or a Level 4 qualification.
• NZ Driver license or overseas equivalent is required.
• Able to work independently and adapt to new environments.
• Experience on commercial, Infrastructure, or civil projects preferred.
• Sound knowledge of H&S procedures.
• Commitment to workplace health, safety, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Construct, install and repair framework, structures, formwork, framing, cladding and finishing work.
• Cut materials, install doors/windows, insulation, and finishing elements.
• Construct concrete formwork and assist in pouring concrete as required.
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding and access equipment safely.
• Lay subfloors and finish floors with hardwood or other materials.
• Load and transport materials around sites.
• Work on rotating project sites across the country.
• Carry out other duties to support projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Construct, install and repairframework and structures, formwork, framing, cladding and finishing work, including foundation, walls, floors, roofs and ceilings
• Cut materials, assemble andInstall doors, windows, cladding, insulation, linings, and finishing elements
• Construct concrete formwork, createmetal and woodstructures forms or chutesby using fasteners, rod bending machines or hand tools,and assist inpouring concrete if required
• Erectand dismantlescaffoldingand access equipment for assembling structures above ground level, in accordance with safety standards
• Cover subfloors with building paper to keep out moisture and lay hardwood, parquet, or wood strip block floors by nailing floors to subfloor or cementing them to mastic or asphalt base
• Repair and maintainexisting fittings
• Loading and unloading building and construction materials, tools and equipment and transporting them around sites
• Work on rotating project sites across the country
• Carry out any other reasonable duties as directed by the employer to support project and business objectives.

Skills and experience required:

• 2-year experience in the construction industry or Level 4 relevant qualification
• NZ Driver license or overseas equivalent is required
• Able to work independently and adapt to new environments
• Experience working on commercial, infrastructure, or civil construction projects preferred.
