Job summary

Lake Mahinapua Hotel on the West Coast of New Zealand is seeking two reliable, hard-working All-Rounders to join our team. You will help across reception, kitchen support, housekeeping, grounds, and event prep, with variety each day. You may rotate through duties as the team grows, staying flexible and committed.

We welcome couples or individuals. Accommodation is available for staff, and there is potential to work toward a Duty Manager certification as the season expands.

• Reliable and punctual.
• Valid working rights in New Zealand.
• Experience valued but all applications will be considered.
• Ability to switch between departments during a shift.

The Lake Mahinapua Hotel is looking for two reliable, hard-working All-Rounder to join our team. Couples, mates traveling together, or solo applicants all welcome.

The rhythm:

LMH is a small hotel that covers restaurant service, general hotel duties such as grounds keeping and housekeeping, and we also host weddings and corporate functions, plus regular party nights a few times a week throughout the whole season, where the place gets busy. You need to enjoy the full range.

The job:

You help wherever you're needed. One day that's reception, the next it's kitchen support, general maintenance, housekeeping or front of house. As the team builds, you might settle into more defined areas that suit you best, but the all rounder inside you never leaves!

We are looking for:

• A Strong Work Ethic: You are happy to get stuck into physical work (housekeeping, grounds, helping setting the place for events,etc.)
• A Proactive Mindset: You see what needs doing and you get it done. You ask questions.
• Reliability: You show up on time and ready to work.
• Experience is valued, but all applications will be considered.
• Comfortable switching between departments in the same shift.
• Valid working rights in New Zealand required.

If the business requires it, there's the opportunity to work towards your Duty Manager's certification.

This is for starting November but we will need more people later as it gets busier. When the hotel closes for winter, there's the option of continuing work at our big sister hotel down in Franz Josef.
