Job summary

Propellerhead is seeking an experienced Technical Strategist in Auckland to shape technical direction for client products and an AI-enabled delivery pipeline. This role blends architectural leadership with hands-on engineering across multi-tier systems, guiding design and implementation in collaboration with the Chief Technologist.

You will drive Azure-based CI/CD, engage with senior stakeholders, and champion AI-assisted development to accelerate delivery while maintaining quality and security

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience building multi-tier and distributed applications.
• Agentic-first use of AI to prototype and direct AI-assisted delivery pipelines.
• Strong ability to communicate with senior client stakeholders.
• Experience with React frontends and service-oriented backends in C# and other languages.

Responsibilities

• Authoring, reviewing and communicating solution architecture and specifications with the development teams.
• Championing Propellerhead's technical strategy and aligning design with the vision.
• Building trusting relationships with key client decision-makers and explaining designs.
• Serving as the go-to technical expert for client solutions and improving delivery feedback.
• Developing strategies to ensure speed-to-value, security, reliability and performance.
• Facilitating the evolution from C# to Rust and AI-driven tooling in the stack.
