Job summary

Harmoney seeks a QA Automation engineer to join our Auckland-based engineering team and help build, maintain, and scale high-quality fintech products using AI-driven testing workflows.

You’ll design and implement automated tests across UI, API, and integration layers, apply modern frameworks like Playwright and Cucumber, and collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA peers to embed quality throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years' experience in QA, test automation, or a similar engineering role.
• Hands-on experience developing and maintaining automated tests.
• Experience with Playwright and Cucumber.
• Experience with API testing and automation tools.
• Proficient in AI-assisted testing frameworks and AI-based test execution tools.
• Ability to design and execute agentic test plans.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, maintain, and improve automated test frameworks and test suites.
• Develop reliable automated tests across UI, API, integration, and end-to-end layers.
• Write clean, reusable automation code using solid software practices.
• Build automation that provides fast feedback to developers and the team.
• Identify opportunities to increase automation coverage and reduce manual testing.
• Maintain automation frameworks, utilities, test data, and tools.
• Contribute to automation strategy and determine testing levels.
• Leverage AI-powered tools for test generation and maintenance.
