Job summary

Straker Translations is seeking an AI-Augmented QA Engineer to design and own quality infrastructure across pods. This role focuses on building AI-orchestrated testing frameworks to verify product work rapidly and safely in a fast-moving AI environment.

You will combine automated coverage with manual testing where needed, and drive the safety nets that prevent AI-generated issues from reaching production. Fixed-term until May 2027, based in Auckland with hybrid work.

Qualifications

• Experience with AI-driven testing and automation.
• Strong scripting ability in Python for test automation.
• Familiarity with AI tooling and test generation workflows.
• Knowledge of CI/CD integration for automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain AI-augmented QA frameworks across pods.
• Build and run AI-generated and manual test plans.
• Identify and mitigate AI-induced risks in product quality.
• Develop load-testing infrastructure for translation APIs and pipelines.
• Detect AI-generated code security gaps and compliance issues.
• Create a shared asset library of test resources.
