Job summary

Gallagher, a global technology business headquartered in Hamilton, NZ, is seeking a commercially minded analyst to support and strengthen our group finance function. You’ll help with budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting using AI tools and advanced Excel modelling.

Reporting to the Group Finance Business Partner, you’ll translate financial data into actionable insights, work with senior finance leaders, and contribute to continuous improvement across our finance function while growing

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related discipline.
3+ years in an analyst/FP&A/accounting/corporate finance role.
Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with ability to interpret data and business context.
Advanced Excel modelling and data manipulation.
Practical experience using AI tools to support analysis and productivity.
Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
Good communication skills to explain analysis clearly.

Responsibilities

Support coordination of Group budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes.
Build AI-assisted tools and advanced Excel models to consolidate and interpret data.
Prepare standardised and ad hoc performance reports for Finance Leaders.
Analyse variances in sales volume, mix and overhead performance and provide commentary.
Assist in review and financial analysis of business cases and capex proposals.
Provide backup coverage within the Finance Partnering team and understand intercompany recharge processes.
Support ad hoc analyses and process improvement initiatives.
