Alignerr is seeking a Data Scientist (Masters) to design complex data science challenges and author rigorous, benchmark-grade solutions for AI model evaluation.

You will audit AI outputs using libraries like Scikit-Learn, PyTorch, and TensorFlow, and provide structured feedback to harden model reasoning. This is a remote hourly contract with flexible hours and ongoing project renewals.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or holding a Master’s or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a quantitative field with strong data analysis.
• Strong knowledge of supervised/unsupervised learning, deep learning, big data technologies (Spark/Hadoop), or NLP.
• Able to communicate complex algorithmic concepts and statistics in writing.
• Detail-oriented with focus on catching errors in code, math, and conclusions.
• Self-directed and reliable for independent technical work.
• No prior AI industry experience required.

Responsibilities

• Design advanced challenges spanning hyperparameter optimization, Bayesian inference, cross-validation, and dimensionality reduction.
• Author ground-truth solutions with Python/R scripts, SQL queries, and derivations.
• Audit AI-generated code using Scikit-Learn, PyTorch, and TensorFlow for accuracy and efficiency.
• Identify logical failures in AI outputs and provide structured feedback to improve model reasoning.
• Document failure modes by stress-testing model responses across ML theory and data pipelines.
