Placements24 is seeking a Senior Project Manager for an agri-business client in Queenstown. The role combines on-site coordination with remote strategic planning to drive supply chain optimization, agricultural technology implementation, and operational efficiency.

You will define scopes, manage budgets, coordinate farming operations and logistics, ensure food safety compliance, and lead continuous improvements in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of project management experience in agri-business or supply chain.
• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
• Experience with agricultural operations, logistics or tech implementation.
• Familiarity with farming techniques, food processing, and cold chain logistics is advantageous.
• Proficiency with project management software and ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Hybrid work model experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution and delivery of agri-business and supply chain projects.
• Define scopes, objectives, timelines, and resources.
• Manage budgets and financial resource allocation.
• Coordinate with farming operations, processing plants, logistics providers and retailers.
• Oversee implementation of new agricultural technologies and automation.
• Develop plans for supply chain enhancements including inventory management and warehousing.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, quality standards and environmental protocols.
• Identify and mitigate project risks.
• Communicate progress and milestones to stakeholders.
• Drive process improvements and foster continuous enhancement.
