Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Operations and Compliance Manager for its Queenstown-area operations. The role oversees daily agricultural operations while ensuring strict regulatory, environmental, and safety compliance. You will drive efficiency, manage risks, and ensure ethical, legal obligations are met.

The ideal candidate has extensive operations management and compliance background, excellent leadership, and strong communication skills to train staff and liaise with regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Operations Management, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in operations management with a strong compliance focus.
• Proven experience in the agricultural sector is highly preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of agricultural regulations, environmental laws, and safety standards.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with ability to train staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize daily operational processes within agricultural settings.
• Develop and maintain robust compliance programs covering relevant regulations.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Conduct regular audits to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
