Job summary

Bupa Parklands Care Home in Christchurch is seeking an Activities Assistant to lead and support engaging activities for residents. You will help plan, review, and deliver both individual and group programmes, ensuring a warm, stimulating environment that enhances quality of life.

Applicants with an NZQA Diversional Therapy level and aged care experience are preferred; a creative, empathetic communicator with a full driver’s license is an advantage. Applicants must be eligible to work in NZ.

Qualifications

• NZQA Certificate in Diversional Therapy Level preferred.
• Experience in aged care desirable.
• Strong communication and empathy for residents and families.

Responsibilities

• Participate in individual and group activities for residents.
• Review and adjust residents' activities plans as needed.
• Support a homely, stimulating environment for residents and families.
• Maintain clear internal and external communication networks for the activities programme.
