Job summary

sKids Auckland is seeking a Programme Manager to run after-school sessions at Macleans Primary School. You’ll work a minimum of 15 hours per week, rostered Monday to Friday, with afternoon shifts from 2.30pm–6.00pm and essential availability from 2.30pm.

Before school care runs 7:00–8:30am; holiday programmes occur 7:00–18:00 at nearby sites. You’ll lead activities, manage behaviours, coordinate resources, and build strong links with parents and school staff while mentoring Programme Assistants.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience working with groups of children (e.g., OSCAR programmes, teaching, coaching, childcare).
• Strong communication with parents, schools and team members.
• Ability to manage high-energy environments with calm and solution-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day running of the sKids programme from setup through pack-down.
• Lead a large group of children, ensuring a safe, inclusive and engaging environment.
• Plan activities across arts, sports, trips, baking, drama and music.
• Coach Programme Assistants and delegate tasks to maintain high standards.
• Build relationships with parents, caregivers and school staff onsite.
• Prepare resources and set clear expectations for smooth sessions.
