Job summary

Junior Adventures Group’s sKids program in Central Auckland is seeking a Manager or Assistant Manager for part-time hours (10–15 per week), rostered Monday to Friday with morning 7:00–8:30 and afternoon 2:30–6:00, plus school holidays potential hours.

You will take full ownership of the day-to-day running of the sKids programme, lead a group of children, plan activities, manage behaviour, and build strong connections with parents and school staff in a friendly, supportive team.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience with groups of children.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviour with calm, firm guidance.
• Ownership of programmes, teams, or operations.
• Strong communication with parents, schools, and staff.
• Must be over 20 years old and have right to work in New Zealand.
• Reliable transport to Central Auckland sites.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the day-to-day running of the sKids programme.
• Lead and manage large groups of children in a safe, engaging environment.
• Plan and deliver structured activities (arts, sport, cooking, drama).
• Coach and delegate to Programme Assistants to maintain high standards.
• Coordinate resources and set clear expectations for each session.
• Build strong relationships with parents and school staff onsite.
• Ensure sessions run smoothly from setup to pack-down.
