Job summary

sKids Auckland is seeking a Programme Assistant to support after-school activities for Tamariki. You’ll supervise, assist with sessions, keep spaces tidy, and help the Programme Manager run energetic activities that keep kids buzzing.

The role requires a minimum of 5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with shifts from 2:30pm–6:00pm and potential holiday hours. Applicants must have NZ work rights and reliable transport to Waimauku or Taupaki.

Qualifications

• Must have the right to work in New Zealand (visa or citizenship).
• Able to travel to Waimauku & Taupaki sites with reliable transport.
• Enthusiastic about working with kids – babysitting, coaching or volunteering counts.
• Reliable, energetic and keen to make every session special.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and supporting Tamariki in a range of fun, safe activities
• Keeping our spaces tidy, clean, and welcoming for children
• Helping your Programme Manager run smooth, energetic sessions that keep kids buzzing
• Spotting any hiccups (behaviour, wellbeing, safety) and sharing with your manager so everyone stays supported
