New Zealand Transport Agency in Wellington seeks a skilled regulatory advisor to be the technical go-to for Vehicle Regulation. You will support, advise, and guide teams and stakeholders on queries and approvals to deliver consistent compliance and safer land transport.
You will maintain relationships, communicate complex technical information clearly, and stay up-to-date with legislation while contributing to rule and guidance development in an operational setting.

New Zealand Transport Agency – Wellington, North Island
The purpose of this role is to be the technical go to for Vehicle Regulation. This is an opportunity to provide support, advice, and guidance to our Vehicle Regulation teams and to our regulated parties and key stakeholders in relation to individual queries and approvals. You will be contributing to the delivery of consistent regulatory compliance outcomes, resulting in improved safety within in the land transport system.
You will be a skilled and regulatory advisor, able to maintain key operational relationships both internal and external, effectively deliver technical information in all aspects and drive consistency through your technical knowledge in an operational environment.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:
You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of Te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.
