The position focuses on implementing and embedding Te Ao Mārama across the District Court, building iwi and community partnerships, and translating kaupapa Māori approaches into practical policy and resources.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years' experience operating at an Advisor level.
• Experience working with iwi, hapū, Māori organisations or communities and applying kaupapa Māori approaches.
• Experience supporting projects, programmes or initiatives in a public sector, justice sector or similarly complex environment.
• Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to analyse information, identify issues and develop practical solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication, including reports and briefings.

Responsibilities

• Support and contribute to the ongoing implementation of Te Ao Mārama across the District Court.
• Build and maintain relationships with iwi, hapū, Māori organisations, community groups and justice sector partners.
• Contribute to projects and work programmes that support organisational change and service improvement.
• Assist with development of guidance, resources, reports and briefings.
• Gather and analyse information to support planning, monitoring and evidence-based decision making.
• Support capability development and sharing of good practice across courts and tribunals.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver positive outcomes for court participants and communities.
