The Ministry of Justice - New Zealand seeks an Advisor in Operations Support, National Service Delivery for a 9-month fixed-term opportunity. You will provide timely, accurate, tailored advice to business managers and frontline teams, and help develop operational policies and guidance.
You will support service improvement initiatives, manage information releases to Ministers and Parliament, and coordinate responses with other units to ensure statutory compliance and timely delivery.
The National Service Delivery unit (NSD) provides a range of justice services to court participants around Aotearoa/New Zealand that assist with administering the court system.
To be successful in this role you need to have exceptional communication skills, an understanding of the Machinery of Government, a well-developed risk radar, problem solving, proven resiliency and the ability work as part of a dynamic and multifaceted team.
As an Advisor, you will be responsible for providing timely, accurate, comprehensive and tailored advice to business unit managers and frontline operations. This includes developing operational policies, guidelines, initiatives and resolving issues as well as continuous improvement functions within NSD. You will also support, and occasionally lead, service improvement initiatives.
You will also be an essential part in the release of information to Ministers and Parliament, and responses to parliamentary, justice stakeholder, court participant, and public requests for information. This includes managing, processing, and drafting responses to requests for information, drafting responses to Ministerial correspondence and Written Parliamentary Questions. You will work collaboratively with other business units across the Ministry to ensure that responses meet statutory requirements, align to publicly available information, and are issued within relevant timeframes.

The appointing salary for this role will be between $74,634 and $95,591 based on skills and experience.
