Taiohi Tūrama - Rotorua Centre for Youth is looking for a highly driven and experienced administrator who wants to work 20 hours per week (afternoons) in a very varied administration position.
Taiohi Tūrama is a not for profit organisation with a solid income base, and is funded by Government agencies and other organisations through contracts and grants. We are a dedicated Youth One Stop Shop with the vision that all 'Rotorua youth reach their full potential'.
The Administrator plays a key role in supporting the organisation run smoothly, efficiently and effectively. There are five main functions:
1. Supports the Business Manager and Business and Administration Team to ensure all RCYCT business and administration systems and processes run smoothly, and administration tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
2. Provides administration support for the Health and Safety Lead and Committee including hazard checks; keeping the health and safety Incident and Near Miss Registers and database up to date; tracking all Risk Assessments, Near Misses and Incidents and filing relevant documentation; preparing meeting packs; completing monthly vehicle and health and safety checks; maintaining the Health and Safety Manual, completing minutes, general administration and other allocated tasks.
3. Provides the coordination, recruitment, liaison and registration for our adult training workshops. This includes the Mental Health First Aid, Understanding and Working with Neurodiversity, Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) and E Mental Health tools workshops.
4. Undertakes reception tasks. This will include providing Youth Health Centre Reception lunch time and leave cover for the Youth Health Centre Receptionist.
5. Supervision of young people in the café area. Support the safety, wellbeing, and positive behaviour of youth while socialising in the café area. This includes active supervision, guidance, and role modelling.
Our successful candidate will have at least 3 years' experience in an administrator role, and preferably hold a Certificate in Business Administration or Business Management (or similar). They will have excellent administration skills, relationship management skills and a passion for young people. Some experience in health and safety and health centre reception duties would be an advantage.
