Job summary

Terry Soot Management Group is seeking an ADAS Tester to evaluate vehicle safety and automation features in field tests. You will collect data, monitor performance, and provide feedback to engineering teams while working across varied routes and conditions.

The role requires manual and autonomous driving testing, safe operation, and detailed reporting. Applicants should be comfortable with shift flexibility and outdoor field work, often in vehicles.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Able to operate a laptop and Office apps (Gmail, Sheets, Docs).
  • Experience using handheld devices and smartphones.
  • Strong attention to detail with clear feedback and adherence to test protocols.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and test vehicles equipped with ADAS on defined routes and conditions.
  • Monitor, evaluate ADAS features (lane-keeping, ACC, emergency braking).
  • Conduct both manual and autonomous driving tests safely.
  • Log data, report anomalies, provide feedback to engineering teams.
  • Complete timely test reports documenting observations and system performance.
  • Work flexible shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and nights.

Terry Soot Management Group (TSMG) is a field data collection company founded in 2017 in Europe.

We collect data where automation is not possible. We count features, take pictures, make videos, record speech, and scan areas for every detail you need to make more informed decisions. Our field data collection teams are spread across Europe, North America, and Asia, ready to accept new challenges.

Role Overview

The ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) Tester is responsible for testing and evaluating vehicle safety and automation features, including collecting data and providing feedback on the performance of ADAS technologies.

Eligibility
  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years old.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate/test vehicles equipped with ADAS technology on various predefined and undefined routes in different environmental conditions.
  • Monitor and evaluate ADAS performance, including lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, emergency braking, and other automated driving features.
  • Conduct manual and autonomous driving tests while ensuring safety and compliance with testing protocols.
  • Log test data, report anomalies, and provide detailed feedback to engineering and development teams.
  • Complete timely and accurate test reports documenting observations and system performance.
  • Work flexible shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts.
  • Maintain high safety standards inside and outside the vehicle.
Necessary Skills
  • Proficiency with a laptop and Office applications (i.e., Gmail, Sheets, and Docs).
  • Experience using handheld devices/touchscreen smartphones.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to provide clear and concise feedback.
  • Ability to follow test protocols and communicate effectively with engineering teams.
Physical Requirements
  • Occasional standing, walking, and long periods of sitting.
  • Ability to use hands to handle devices, feel controls, and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to climb stairs and/or ladders when necessary.
  • Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
  • Must have strong vision, including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Most work is accomplished outdoors in a vehicle.
