Job summary

Heritage Lifecare in Blenheim is seeking a friendly Activities Coordinator to enhance residents' well‑being through engaging programs at Maxwell Lifecare & Village.

This permanent part‑time role (10 hours per week) offers AM and weekend shifts, planning, organising and delivering activities, outings and events with the team.

You will bring caring, great communication, problem‑solving skills, a NZ drivers' license for van work, and a positive, customer‑facing attitude.

Qualifications

• Proven experience caring for others, ideally within an aged care environment.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Full NZ driver’s license, and confidence in driving a van.
• Genuine love for helping people with excellent customer service and a friendly attitude.
• Passion for continuous improvement with an understanding of health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of activity programs meeting residents' physical, spiritual, cultural, cognitive, and emotional needs.
• Planning, organising and delivering activities, outings, and events.
• Involvement in community groups and collaboration with the wider team.

You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our residents are cared for to the highest standard with kindness and patience, in a warm and caring atmosphere.As an Activities Coordinator you will be involved in the delivery of activity programs that meet the individual physical, spiritual, cultural, cognitive, and emotional needs of residents. This will include the planning, organising and delivery of activities, outings, events, and involvement in community groups. Your Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience caring for others, ideally within an aged care environment.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Full NZ drivers' license, and confidence in driving a van
• A genuine love for helping people, excellent customer service skills, with a friendly and positive attitude.
• A passion for continuous improvement, with a sound understanding of the importance of health and safety procedures.
