Job summary

Our Wharerangi Village in Taupō is seeking a full-time Activities Assistant to join our dedicated team. You will work closely with the Diversional Therapist to design and implement engaging activity programmes tailored to residents’ needs.

Ideal applicants will have experience in planning activities, strong communication and IT skills, and a vibrant, energetic personality. A NZ driver’s licence and weekend availability are required with full NZ working rights.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in planning and coordinating activities.
• Empathy for the elderly and strong people skills.
• Excellent communication and IT skills.
• A clean NZ drivers’ licence and ability to work weekends.
• Full New Zealand working rights.

• Working closely with our Diversional Therapist to create and implement fun and varied activities programmes for our residents
• Understanding residents’ needs and abilities and encouraging them to take part in activities
• Following our company policies and procedures to create a safe environment for our residents.

• A clean NZ drivers’ licence
