Job summary

Tyson Foods in New Zealand is seeking an Accounts Payable Administrator to join our Finance team. You will manage supplier invoices, approvals and reconcilations, ensuring timely payments and strong financial controls across systems.

You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers, bring 3–5 years of AP experience, and use SAP and Excel to maintain accurate records while supporting month-end close and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years’ experience in an accounts payable or finance administration role.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience using accounting systems, preferably SAP.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Good reconciliation and problem-solving abilities.
• A sound understanding of GST, financial controls, and accounts payable processes.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with suppliers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner
• Follow up and coordinate invoice approvals
• Review purchase orders and investigate invoice discrepancies
• Maintain supplier records and supporting documentation
• Complete accounts payable reconciliations and resolve outstanding items
• Respond to supplier queries and assist with issue resolution
• Support month-end close activities and reporting requirements
• Support audits and other finance activities as required
• Provide occasional administration support across the business
