Job summary

Foodstuffs North Island is seeking an Engineering/Maintenance Assistant to maintain and improve warehouse facilities and equipment across our distribution network in Auckland area. You’ll perform preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and help ensure systems are safe and reliable.

You’ll coordinate contractors, support maintenance projects, and contribute to reducing costs while boosting operational efficiency in a fast-paced 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of maintenance experience in facilities, factory, or distribution environments.
• Strong technical skills with warehouse equipment and power tools.
• Basic computer skills with MS Office and MEX experience.
• Vehicle licences: Car, Forklift, and Elevated Work Platforms.

Responsibilities

• Complete preventative maintenance and minor repairs on warehouse equipment, facilities, and infrastructure.
• Maintain buildings and site assets, including signage, barriers, racking, lockers, and warehouse fit-outs.
• Coordinate contractors and support the delivery of engineering and maintenance projects across distribution centres.
• Ensure all maintenance activities meet safety, compliance, and documentation requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency.
