Christchurch East School is seeking two self-motivated Technology Teachers for 2027. The roles are part time (0.6 FTE) on fixed term contracts from 28/01/2027 to 27/01/2028, three days per week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays).

Suitable for both primary and intermediate candidates with NZ teaching registration. The Technology centre services our seven client schools and our own Years 7–8 students, totaling around 400 learners.

Qualifications

• Certificated teacher credential required in NZ.
• Current New Zealand Teacher Registration is mandatory.

Responsabilités

• Teach technology to students across Years 1–8.
• Contribute to the Technology centre and programmes used by partner schools.
• Deliver the planned technology curriculum three days per week (Tue, Wed, Thu).
• Collaborate with a small Technology team to achieve student outcomes.

Technology

We are seeking 2 self-motivated, capable teachers for 2027, as part of our Technology team of 4 staff. The Technology centre provides technology-based programmes for our seven client schools from across the city, as well as for our own Years 7 and 8 students here at Christchurch East School, around 400 students in total.

The successful applicants will be able to work within our current programmes, while adding their own personal flavour to both our centre and those programmes. The positions are for 3 full days, to be worked on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Teaching contexts are negotiable for the successful candidates. Applicants must be committed to seeing our students achieve success.
