Job summary

Kaiapoi North School is seeking an enthusiastic Certificated teacher for primary and intermediate levels (Years 1–8). The positions are full-time and fixed-term for 2027, with multiple roles including parental leave replacements and a separate permanent role change for the year.

Start date is 28 January 2027 and end date 16 December 2027. We value strong literacy and numeracy across a supportive, innovative learning community near Christchurch.

Qualifications

  • Primary and intermediate teaching (Years 1–8).
  • Certificated teacher in NZ with current practicing certificate.

Responsibilities

  • Join a highly collaborative teaching team and build strong relationships with ākonga and whānau.
  • Apply knowledge of curriculum, pedagogy and assessment to support learning.
  • Demonstrate a growth mindset and contribute to culturally responsive practice.
