Job summary

Head Energy Consulting AS is seeking a skilled Work Prep Engineer to support construction, MC, and commissioning by preparing detailed work orders in PIMS PES. You will collaborate with engineering, planning, and construction teams to ensure safety, accuracy and timely delivery in line with project schedules.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in oil & gas, strong knowledge of P&IDs and ISO drawings, and fluent Norwegian with good English.

Qualifications

Technical education (vocational or engineering degree) with a relevant trade certificate or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the oil & gas industry or a related industry, preferably within construction or commissioning.
Familiarity with MC and commissioning completion processes and digital tools (e.g., PIMS CMS/PIMS PES).
Strong understanding of drawings (P&IDs, ISO) and the ability to interpret technical documentation.
Fluent in Norwegian, with a good command of English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

Prepare work orders based on engineering work packs (EWP) and maintain detailed orders in PIMS PES, including MHR estimates, drawings, procedures, and MTO.
Interface with engineering, planning, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure prerequisites are met before execution.
Review safety aspects of planned work and ensure HSSE compliance and project standards.
Identify opportunities for process improvements in work preparation and contribute to lessons learned.
