Job summary

IKM Consultants AS in Stord, Norway, is seeking a Mechanical MC Engineer to develop and maintain detailed work orders in PIMS PES, including man-hour estimates, drawings, procedures, and material lists. You will collaborate with engineering, planning, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure prerequisites are met before execution.

You will review safety aspects, identify risks, and ensure HSSE compliance. You will optimize work preparation processes and contribute to lessons learned.

Qualifications

• Technical education with relevant trade certificate or engineering degree.
• At least 5 years’ experience in oil & gas, construction or commissioning.
• Proven experience with PIMS and Work Preparation in PIMS.
• Familiarity with MC and commissioning processes.
• Ability to create work orders in Norwegian.

Mechanical MC Engineer

Responsibilities

• Review safety aspects of all planned work, identify risks, and ensure compliance with HSSE requirements.

Required expertise

• Technical education (vocational or engineering degree) with a relevant trade certificate or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in the oil & gas industry or a related field, preferably within construction or commissioning.
• Proven experience with PIMS and Work Preparation within PIMS is mandatory.
• Familiarity with mechanical completion (MC) and commissioning processes.
• Strong understanding of technical documentation and drawings, such as P&IDs and ISOs.
• Ability to create work orders in Norwegian.
