Job summary

Odfjell Technology is seeking an Asset Manager based in Norway or Dubai to own our asset management strategy and ensure our assets are safe, available, optimized, and ready to support operations worldwide.

You will advise leadership across regions and product lines, drive lifecycle optimization, contribute to CAPEX planning, govern asset data, and track KPIs to improve performance and value for the organisation.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years in asset management or asset-intensive industries.
  • Strong knowledge of lifecycle management, maintenance strategies, reliability, and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Own and continuously develop the Strategic Asset Management Plan.
  • Lead annual asset planning and support long-term capacity forecasting.
  • Govern global asset management standards and ensure cross-regional consistency.
  • Monitor asset availability, condition, lifecycle stage, and performance for business growth.
  • Provide input into tenders, CAPEX planning, and major investments.
  • Define and track asset KPIs and report insights to executives.

As our Asset Manager, you will:
  • Own and continuously develop the company's Strategic Asset Management Plan.
  • Lead annual asset planning processes and support long-term capacity and investment forecasting.
  • Establish and govern global asset management standards, ensuring consistency across regions and service lines.
  • Monitor asset availability, utilisation, condition, service history, lifecycle stage, and performance to support business growth and operational readiness.
  • Provide expert input into tenders, business cases, CAPEX planning, and major investment decisions.
  • Evaluate repair, replacement, retirement, and lifecycle optimisation opportunities.
  • Govern asset documentation, master data quality, and lifecycle information within ERP and asset management systems.
  • Define and track asset performance KPIs and regularly report insights to Executive Management.
  • Act as a trusted partner to Product Line Managers and operational teams, ensuring the right equipment is available at the right place and at the right time.
  • Drive continuous improvement and best practice asset management across the company.
What We're Looking For

We are seeking a strategic thinker with strong operational understanding and a passion for data-driven decision-making.

You will ideally have:
  • A master's degree in Finance, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
  • At least 7 years of experience in asset management, equipment operations, asset optimisation, oilfield services, or another asset-intensive industry.
  • Strong knowledge of equipment lifecycle management, maintenance strategies, reliability, and operational processes.
  • Experience with ERP and asset management platforms such as IFS, SAP, Oracle, or similar systems.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with proven experience in asset utilisation, lifecycle planning, performance management, and decision support.
  • Knowledge of HSE requirements, operational standards, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, planning, and organisational skills.
  • Understanding of ISO 55000 / 55001 asset management principles and practices.
  • Professional certifications such as CMRP, CRL, PMP, or equivalent are advantageous.
