Job summary

Academic Work Norway is seeking a User Experience Engineer to support the design of collaboration devices across Core UI, RoomOS, and meeting services. You will create concepts, wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs for digital devices, collaborating with designers, researchers, engineers, and product managers to improve usability.

The role focuses on clear, usable, and inclusive interfaces, with a six-month duration and potential extension.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in UX, HCI, Interaction Design, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of experience designing digital product experiences.
• Proficiency with Figma and vibe coding tools.
• Excellent written and verbal English and a valid Norwegian work visa.
• Portfolio showing design process, solutions, and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Support design across Core UI, RoomOS and meeting services to improve defined product areas.
• Create concepts, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs for defined features or product areas.
• Apply user-centered design methods, research insights, and product feedback to improve usability and accessibility.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, research, and design stakeholders to understand requirements and constraints.
• Validate concepts with users or internal stakeholders and iterate based on feedback.
