Job summary

Citisense is a traffic design consultancy and traffic data company based in London, seeking a Reporting & Data Analyst to turn transport survey data into polished reports for councils and clients. You’ll interrogate the data, explain what it means, and present findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

You will build reports and dashboards in Power BI, map outputs with QGIS, and refine visuals using Adobe Creative Suite.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills and a curious mindset.
• Excellent written communication for non-technical audiences.
• Excellent Excel skills, including Power Query.
• Knowledge of UK transport sector is helpful but not essential.
• Attention to detail and quality control when handling data destined for client outputs.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Analyse transport and survey data, asking the right questions to understand the story behind the numbers.
• Build clear, well-designed reports and dashboards for councils and other clients.
• Use QGIS to produce mapping outputs and spatial analyses to support reports.
• Build and maintain dashboards in Power BI.
• Work extensively in Excel, including Power Query, to clean and structure data.
• Polish report layouts using Adobe Creative Suite when needed.
• Validate and quality check data before it goes to clients.
• Translate technical findings into plain English for non-specialist readers.
• Collaborate with the Technology & Data Team and survey teams to understand context behind the data.
• Support the creation and maintenance of reporting templates and documentation.
