About the Role

We are looking for a Tender Manager who is passionate about Power Systems to join our Tendering team in Oslo, Norway. In this role, you will play a crucial role that goes beyond coordination, requiring strong leadership, commercial ownership, and strategic influence to shape winning proposals and drive business growth.

Responsibilities
  • Lead complex and strategic tendering activities with full ownership from opportunity identification to submission
  • Define and implement winning bid strategies, including value proposition, differentiation, and pricing positioning
  • Align tender strategy with customer expectations, market conditions, and business objectives
  • Own pricing strategy, margin targets, and profitability of offers
  • Build and validate costing structures, commercial models, and risk‑adjusted pricing
  • Support negotiation phases with strong commercial and contractual positioning
  • Lead identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks (technical, commercial, contractual)
  • Ensure compliance with internal governance, approval processes, and risk policies
  • Collaborate with legal, finance, and risk experts to define optimal contract positions
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering preferably in electrical engineering, electrical & electronic engineering, power systems or a related field
  • 7-10 years experience in tender management with proven track record in handling complex and high‑value tenders
  • Strong expertise in power systems (HV/MV/LV systems, Substations) or relevant solutions
  • Deep understanding of tendering lifecycle, project execution, and delivery models
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications, contracts, and system architectures
  • Strong knowledge of pricing strategies, costing methodologies, and financial drivers
  • Advanced understanding of contract management and risk allocation
  • Strong awareness of market trends preferably in AI, competition & customer expectations
  • Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams without formal authority
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills at multiple levels
  • Strategic mindset with ability to make balanced decisions under uncertainty
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Experience working in international and cross‑functional environment is beneficial
  • Fluent in English. Fluent in a Nordic language is preferred but not required
