Technical Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to lead complex projects within the marine, offshore, or energy sectors. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of full project lifecycles, ensuring successful delivery in line with key parameters of Time, Cost, and Quality.
About the Role
As Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful and efficient execution of projects in accordance with the company's principles and project mandate. You will lead cross-functional teams, engage with key stakeholders, and drive projects from initiation through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Plan, organize, and lead projects from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
- Define clear goals to ensure desired outcomes are achieved.
- Identify risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Monitor financial performance, control costs, and capitalize on additional work opportunities during project execution.
- Ensure compliance with required quality standards and specifications.
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and lead an effective project team, assigning tasks and motivating members.
- Maintain strong communication with stakeholders, including team members, leadership, and clients.
- Ensure customer satisfaction with project deliverables.
- Provide ongoing training and development for project team members.
- Foster a results-oriented and efficient work environment while promoting occupational health and safety.
Reporting & Risk Management
- Develop and maintain the Project Execution Plan (PEP), updating it as needed.
- Maintain project structure, follow company routines, and track progress toward goals.
- Establish resource plans, staffing, and project organizational charts.
- Approve and sign purchase orders (POs) and change orders (VOs) within the delegated mandate.
- Develop and maintain a risk register, escalating issues when necessary.
- Report project status and progress internally and externally.
- Prepare final reports and lessons learned, ensuring continuous improvement from past projects.
Background and Experience
- Solid experience with project management or project coordination within marine, offshore, or other energy sectors.
- Demonstrated experience as a project manager for complex projects.
- Relevant higher education, preferably within engineering with a focus on marine technology, petroleum engineering, or other mechanical disciplines, is valued.
