Responsibilities

• Customer ownership: own a portfolio of key customers as their main technical contact.
• Agreements & contracts: Own and follow up digital service agreements, including lifecycle-based subscriptions.
• Technical upgrades: identify upgrades and 5-year service activities for customers.
• Commercial input: provide Sales with accurate technical input for quotations.
• Internal coordination: coordinate across Service, Engineering, and Operations to deliver high-quality support.
• CRM & reporting: maintain CRM records and monitor customer satisfaction.

The role

As Technical Key Account Manager you are the technical owner of the customer relationship after we have delivered a system — the person who understands how their automation works and stays with it for the full lifecycle.

You spot where a system needs attention, an upgrade, or added support, and you make sure the customer always has someone at Høglund who knows their vessels.

It is a technical role with a commercial edge: you own our lifecycle service agreements — signing, renewal and follow-up — and you give Sales the technical input they need to price and propose the right solutions.

You do not cold-sell; you build trust through competence, and the business follows.

As we continue to develop our Aftermarket & Service organization, the role is set to grow with it — helping shape how we deliver lifecycle services, digital solutions and long-term customer partnerships.

Your main responsibilities

Customer ownership: own a portfolio of key customers as their main technical contact, with structured lifecycle follow-up alongside the service organization.

Agreements & contracts: Own and follow up digital service agreements, including Høglund Connect and other lifecycle-based subscription services, within the assigned customer portfolio.

Technical upgrades: use your insight into each customer's systems to identify upgrades, 5-year service activities and relevant digital solutions.

Commercial input: give Sales accurate technical input so quotations reflect the real needs of the systems; hand commercial negotiation to Sales.

Internal coordination: Ensure effective coordination across Service, Engineering, and Operations to deliver consistent and high-quality customer support.

CRM & reporting: Maintain accurate CRM records and monitor customer satisfaction continuously.

What you bring

A solid technical background ideally from the marine industry— for example, as an automation, commissioning or service engineer — with hands-on understanding of marine automation functions and how they work in practice

You enjoy working with customers and building long‑term technical trust, rather than selling to them.

A clear communicator, comfortable from the engine room to the management office.

Structured and proactive — you follow up without being chased and close the loop on open items.

Comfortable working across Engineering, Service and Sales in a global, technical business.

Proficient with CRM and standard office tools.

Fluent in English and Norwegian
